I’ve been busy today, making stuff and taking pictures. Want to see? Of course you do.
Remember that I said I was making Cinnamon Applesauce Ornaments? Well, they didn’t turn out so wonderful. Here they are, sitting in a basket lined with a vintage napkin.

Cinnamon Applesauce Ornaments
The rest of the dough was rolled up into little balls.

Reindeer poop. Smells like cinnamon.
I also made a Christmas tree from a Parents Magazine. Here’s the link. It’s … interesting. Perhaps I’ll spray paint it before next year, because it really doesn’t fit my home like this. However, it really does only make half a tree. Unlike the instructions, I’d recommend using the cover as well, AND make two trees, then staple them together. I think that would make a nicer tree.
Here’s my first attempt at making candy. I’ll practice a few times this year (and I’ve asked Santa for a candy thermometer) so that I can do a better job next year. Still, Pierre will like them, I think.

My freezer is full! See the blueberry pie? Now that it’s frozen, I need to cover it with tinfoil. The tourtiere is sitting on top of the turkey. A loaf of banana bread is sitting beside the blueberry pie.

How about some banana bread love? Two little bottles of olive oil are in the background. Hang on – we’ll get to them.
Here’s the packages of Snowman Soup. All I’m missing are the individual packages of hot chocolate mix. I didn’t buy any at first, because I buy my hot chocolate mix in bulk, but I couldn’t figure out how to add it without making a huge mess for the recipients. So I’ll pick up the little packets before I give them. Can you tell whose using a tinfoil roaster this year? Yea. I really hate scrubbing big pots.
Here’s another picture of the cinnamon ornaments while I was making them, plus the two bottles of Peppered Olive Oil.

And finally:
The Chinese symbols apparently mean “Women hold up half the sky.”

Just came in through twitter. You weren’t lying about taking a few photos. I particularly like the Parent’s Magazine turned tree. Very creative!
Happy Holidays!
